This is a good general purpose 20″ wide trench drain grate. It is typically used on an 18″ wide trench drain or 18″ wide catch basin. The larger openings plug less often making this grate ideal for the intake of large amounts of water. Typical uses are pedestrain trench drains in industrial and manufacturing facilities, and any other area where a high intake volume is required.
