Position overview:
The MIG/TIG Welder & Fabricator will be responsible for welding and fabricating products for trench and drain systems.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a safe work environment with a “safety first” mindset
- Follow all safety processes and procedures
- Perform daily and repetitive hand welding operations
- Operate welding equipment in a safe manner, including voltage and gas regulation and feed rate
- Must be able to read a tape measure to 1/16”
- Layout and mark weld points on parts or assemblies using tape measure, square, scribe or templates
- Plan and layout welding sequence, referring to drawings, blueprints or specifications
- Maintain the desired level of quality required for satisfactory production output
- Other duties as assigned, such as minor maintenance tasks
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must have welding experience, preferably in manufacturing or fabrication
- Must pass a drug screen and background check
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Ability to MIG and TIG weld
Education:
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Welding certification preferred
Supervisory requirements:
- None
Competencies:
- Ability to MIG and TIG weld
- Ability to understand work orders and work instructions as delivered by Manager
- Ability to withstand extreme temperatures (hot and cold) and outside elements
- Ability to stand/walk/crouch/bend frequently throughout entire shift
- Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly
- Ability and willingness to work overtime as needed
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a steady state of output
- Must have an eye for detail and ability to identify workmanship mistakes and report to Manager
